Terms of Use

By using TruchiChat you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it. We wrote them so they’re easy to understand; if anything isn’t clear, ask us.

1. What TruchiChat Is

A private messaging app between two people, for iPhone and Android, with end-to-end encryption. It is provided by TruchiChat 2026, a small, independent team. It’s free and has no ads.

2. Who Can Use It

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You need an iPhone with iOS 17 or later or a phone with Android 12 or later.
• One account is one phone. Don’t share your account with other people.
• You can use your account as soon as you create it, whichever version of the app you have.

3. Your Account

To create it, you choose a name. We don’t ask for your phone number or email. You are responsible for what is done from your account and for protecting your phone with its passcode and, if you want, with the app lock.

Your account’s keys and your history are only on your phone. If you lose it, change it or uninstall the app, we can’t recover them: we don’t have a copy.

4. What You Can Do

• Chat with and call the people you invite or who invite you.
• Send anything you have the right to share.
• Block and report anyone who bothers you, from their info screen in the chat.

5. What You Can’t Do

TruchiChat has zero tolerance for objectionable or abusive content and for abusive users. Using TruchiChat for human trafficking or the exploitation of minors is prohibited. We review reports within 24 hours and remove anyone who breaches these terms.

• Harass, threaten or deceive others, or impersonate another person.
• Send spam, unsolicited advertising or illegal content, especially content that exploits or endangers minors.
• Send malicious software or try to break into the service or into other people’s accounts.
• Get around the service’s limits or try to break the encryption or the blocks.
• Use TruchiChat for a business without our permission.

6. Reports and Suspended Accounts

We can’t read your chats: they’re encrypted. When you report someone, we receive who is reporting whom, in which chat, the reason and whatever you write; never the messages or the files. That is what we base our decision on. We may suspend or delete an account that breaches these terms or the law.

7. Your Data

What we process, how long we keep it and how to delete it is explained in the privacy policy.

8. What We Can’t Promise

We do our best to keep TruchiChat working well at all times, but we can’t guarantee that there won’t be outages, errors or messages that don’t arrive. The app is provided “as is.” We are not responsible for anything lost by changing phones, uninstalling the app or not saving beforehand what you wanted to keep, because there is no copy on any server. None of this takes away any rights you have under the law of your country.

9. Deleting Your Account

Whenever you want, in Settings › Delete Account. It’s deleted on our server and on your phone. Without the app, write to us and we’ll delete it. The details are in the privacy policy.

10. Changes

If we make important changes to these terms, we’ll say so here and in the app. Continuing to use it afterward means you accept the new version.
